LAC – RB Melvin Gordon is averaging 5.4 yards per run after averaging fewer than 4.0 yards per run each of his first three NFL seasons.
DEN – The Broncos are 0-4 when they allow at least 98 run yards.
OAK – The Raiders have a league-low 7 sacks, and they just released Bruce Irvin, who had 3.0 of them.

Looking ahead to Week 10

Open Date – Baltimore, Denver, Houston, Minnesota
The Ravens are under .500, and they are the last of the five teams to draft a first round QB in 2018 to start him, so the Joe Flacco to Lamar Jackson clock is ticking loudly. The Broncos have drafted five QBs under John Elway (since 2011), including two in the first three rounds, and none of them are on the roster anymore. Seven of Houston’s nine games have been decided by seven points or fewer, including all three losses. The Vikings are 5-0 when they allow 21 points or fewer, 0-3-1 when they don’t.

Panthers at Pittsburgh: Panthers owner David Tepper was formerly a Steelers minority owner. The Panthers are 0-3 in Pittsburgh, and they have never scored more than 20 points in six previous meetings. It will be a matchup to see which second-year RB performs best between Christian McCaffrey and James Conner.

Saints at Cincinnati: Dez Bryant is a Saint, but he still didn’t catch it. Cincinnati’s offense will be without WR AJ Green for most of November. The Bengals have a significant logistics advantage coming off a bye, but it won’t matter if they can’t stop RB Alvin Kamara.

Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams: Out of Seattle’s last 14 games dating back to last season, the Rams have two highest scoring totals against the Seahawks. The Rams dropped 468 yards on Seattle last month despite not having any contributions from WR Brandin Cooks.

Cowboys at Philadelphia: The Eagles have major logistical advantages, as the Cowboys are traveling after a short week while Philadelphia rested. This will be the debut of WR Golden Tate, but expect a defensive struggle.

Giants at San Francisco: Yeah, the NFL messed this one up.
