The NFL preseason has started, and I know that everyone is excited that football is back after a lockout-marred offseason. But one of the things that did not get settled was the ban on celebrating touchdowns on the field.
That’s unfortunate. But that’s where Maury Povich comes in. Maury’s been doing paternity tests on his show for years, and the excessive celebration is about the same as it would be on a football field without the threat of a penalty.
...and the son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.
So even though the most creative end zone celebrations are frowned upon in the National Football League, there is always an alternative outlet. During the paternity test results, you get some of the best pre-planned celebrations ever! Same type of excitement too. You can imagine if every paternity test on Maury was like a potential game-winning touchdown under review. Just change “after further review, the ruling on the field stands” with, well, this:
Childcare? "Child, please."
