Happy Cinco de Mayo folks. I would devote this post to the teachings of this wonderful day in Mexican-American history, but I have overdue business to take care of.
As most of you know, this has been a significant week for United States President Barack Hussein Obama II. Yes, I am still amazed that we elected a President with that name. And as proof that it is indeed his name and that he was born in the United States:
Oh snap! The above photo was to Donald Trump and the rest of the Birthers what Y2K was to Jehovah’s Witnesses. Such a bad look! And at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, the Barack Obama let Trump and others have it like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson laying the smacketh down:
Damn. I haven’t seen this kind of “placement” since Chris Jericho tried to crash the WWF and The Rock in 1999:
It is not hard to imagine The Rock as Barack and Y2J as The Donald, if you smell what The Rock is cooking. And as if Obama’s swag level wasn’t already ascending, there was the news that broke Sunday night:
Now, this article is not a celebration of the death of Osama bin Laden, nor is it going to contain any butchered MLK quotes as a clichéd token of peace on Facebook.
But no matter what you think of the timing of Osama’s demise, or the execution, or whether or not you believe it happened when it did, you have to acknowledge the triumph in the President’s address to the American people. I haven’t seen such a smooth (possibly insignificant) display of victory since Dave Chappelle as Black Bush on Chappelle’s Show:
The big question then, is what if the Republicans nominated Black Bush in 2012 (being that, Black Bush would probably be as effective a candidate as anybody else right now)? Who would you vote for right now: Obama? Or Black Bush??
