2010-2011 NBA Predictions

Every year, I put together my NBA preview.  Over the last several years, the preview would be hosted by the MADDSKILLZ Update, typically the October edition of the update.  Alas, the Update is a thing of the past, so The NU is conveniently in place to host my predictions for the upcoming season.  Now, I was an incredible procrastinator this year, and fact is that it is a minor miracle for me to have this completed before the regular season tips off this Tuesday, October 26^th.  I won’t bother with analysis too much, as I just need to release this.  There will be plenty of time for relevant analysis during the season, the first after the Armageddon that was this summer. I’ll just shock you with these standings:

REGULAR SEASON?

-Pacific: Los Angeles Lakers (1^st Western), Phoenix Suns (9^th Western), Sacramento Kings (12^th Western), Los Angeles Clippers (13^th Western), Golden State Warriors (14^th Western).

-Northwest: Oklahoma City Thunder (3^rd Western), Portland Trail Blazers (5^th Western), Denver Nuggets (7^th Western), Utah Jazz (8^th Western), Minnesota Timberwolves (15^th Western).

-Southwest: Dallas Mavericks (2^nd Western), Houston Rockets (4^th Western), San Antonio Spurs (6^th Western), Memphis Grizzlies (10^th Western), New Orleans Hornets (11^th Western).

-Central: Chicago Bulls (4^th Eastern), Milwaukee Bucks (6^th Eastern), Indiana Pacers (10^th Eastern), Cleveland Cavaliers (12^th Eastern), Detroit Pistons (15^th Eastern).

-Southeast: Miami Heat (1^st Eastern), Orlando Magic (2^nd Eastern), Atlanta Hawks (5^th Eastern), Washington Wizards (8^th Eastern), Charlotte Bobcats (9^th Eastern).

-Atlantic: Boston Celtics (3^rd Eastern), New York Knicks (7^th Eastern), Philadelphia 76ers (11^th Eastern), New Jersey Nets (13^th Eastern), Toronto Raptors (14^th Eastern).

PLAYOFFS?

-Western First Round: Lakers over Jazz | Trail Blazers over Rockets | Thunder over Spurs | Mavericks over Nuggets.

-Eastern First Round: Heat over Wizards | Bulls over Hawks | Celtics over Bucks | Magic over Knicks.

-Western Semifinals: Lakers over Trail Blazers | Thunder over Mavericks.

-Eastern Semifinals: Heat over Bulls | Magic over Celtics.

-Western Finals: Lakers over Thunder.

-Eastern Finals: Heat over Magic.

-NBA FINALS: Lakers in 6.
