It’s been awhile since Broncos/Chiefs has been a relevant game, but we have a good one tonight and in two weeks. I’ve been something of a Chiefs’ advocate for weeks, saying that despite their weak schedule and low-wattage offense shouldn’t be a reason to invalidate the fact that they are 9-0 without allowing more than 17 points in any contest this season. We love the Broncos’ offense, but they have also had an easy schedule, losing to the only team with a winning record that they faced. Mind you, including the playoffs, they went 2-4 against 2012 playoff teams.
The Chiefs are 9-0. The Broncos are 8-1. Neither team has defeated a team with a winning record or lost to one with a losing record.

There is no such thing as an invalid win, in any league. “You play to win the game.” Colts defeated SF, SEA, DEN. But lost to MIA, SD, STL.

This week of NFL action has five other divisional contests, five conference matchups, and one Super Bowl rematch. This week on Neon Tommy, we had the following five games: Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers at New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots at Carolina Panthers. For the meat of those picks check out the landing!
THE GAMEPLAN FOR WEEK 11
2013 NFL Week 11 picks (8-6 in Week 10, +25 for 2013): TEN, NYJ, CHI, CIN, HOU, ARI, MIA, PHI, PIT, TB, NO, SEA, NYG, DEN, NE

Titans over Colts:
#INDvsTEN Titans outscored Colts 17-13 until KR Devon Wylie fumbled a 3rd Q kickoff. After the fumble? 17-10 Colts. Bad special teams!
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Jets over Bills:
#NYJvsBUF Jets beat Bills earlier this season despite committing 20 penalties; Manuel was sacked 8 times in that one. No Johnson/Woods today
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Bears over Ravens:
#BALvsCHI Only Cowboys have allowed more rushing yards in the NFC than Bears. But only Jags have rushing for fewer yards in AFC than Ravens.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Bengals over Browns:
#CLEvsCIN Cleveland hasn’t swept Cincinnati (or made playoffs) since 2002. Cincinnati is 2-4 on the road, but 4-0 at Paul Brown Stadium.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Texans over Raiders:
#OAKvsHOU Raiders are last in the AFC in passing yardage. Texans allow fewest passing yards in the league. McGloin’s line vs. JJ Watt? Okay.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Cardinals over Jaguars:
#ARIvsJAX Cardinals have already won once in Florida, narrowly defeating Tampa. Jaguars last in AFC in rushing, Cards 2nd in NFC vs. run.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Dolphins over Chargers:
#SDvsMIA Chargers haven’t won in Miami since 1981 playoffs (6 straight Ls). Dolphins are on a bad short week. They get terrible SD secondary
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Eagles over Redskins:
#WASvsPHI N. Foles has 3 of 5 career INTs vs. WAS. WAS has 10 INTs, but allowed 19 TD passes. When L. McCoy gets 25+ carries, Eagles are 7-0
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Steelers over Lions:
#DETvsPIT Lions haven’t won in Pittsburgh since 1955 (0-8-1). Ben Roethlisberger has a lot to prove this week, as does Steelers defense.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Buccaneers over Falcons:
#ATLvsTB Falcons QB Matt Ryan on the road this season: 6 TDs, 9 INTs, 0-4 record. Falcons RB Steven Jackson this season: 3.2 yards per carry
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Saints over 49ers:
#SFvsNO Last year the Saints allowed the second-most passing yards in NFL. This year = 3rd fewest. 49ers are dead last in passing yards.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Seahawks over Vikings:
#MINvsSEA The Percy Harvin Bowl! Harvin’s last game as a Viking = 30-20 loss at Seattle. Russell Wilson at home=24 TDs, 6 INTs, 12-0.
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Giants over Packers:
#GBvsNYG This was the original #SNF game. Giants get 4th straight game against unproven QB (Freeman, Barkley, Pryor, Tolzien).
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Broncos over Chiefs:
#KCvsDEN I love the matchup of KC pass defense: 3 strong pass rushers, 3 strong CBs. But will KC stop the run (5.0 YPC allowed)?
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Patriots over Panthers:
#NEvsCAR Ron Rivera’s San Diego defense held Patriots to 179 yards in 2010. Pats are tough coming off the bye under Belichick (10-3).
— Law Murray (@1maddskillz) November 17, 2013
Finally this week, the Dallas Cowboys and Saint Louis Rams are the only team on bye weeks. The Cowboys defeated the Rams 31-7 in Week 3, back when people thought the Cowboys were good and that the Rams had a healthy starting QB. Now? The Cowboys will hope to allow fewer than 40 first downs during the bye week, while the Rams watch the rest of their division get away from them.
