This month of June comes as the United States of America is faced once again with its longstanding history of racial tension. This country has both a high ceiling and a low floor. While many have come together to actively address the problem of police brutality and oppression, there have been campaigns to undermine, silence, and gaslight peaceful protests and calls for justice.
The #WarOnIgnorance isn’t new. It goes back more than a decade with me. The battlegrounds change, though, and it will be fought as we live our lives trying to be the change we want to see.
