9. False Player Reputation (Skit)

I came up with the “False Player Reputation” theory back in February 2004. A year and a half later, I wrote a commercial for it featuring Steve Smith. The music video explains everything. Basically, False Player Reputation is when you get labeled a “player” at the worst possible times. False Player Reputation can result in unwanted attention (especially if you aren’t even trying to be a player!) and can lead to underwhelming performances. Easily detectable in sport but can be present anywhere. James Brown’s “Rapp Payback” can be heard in the background.
