Self Titled Album Track #3: Freestyle 805

It’s the end of September, so wake up.  Allow “Freestyle 805” to be your alarm clock; one of the first “bad freestyles” I ever wrote for the MADDSKILLZ Update.  This appeared in the August 05 edition of the MADDSKILLZ Update (hence, “8/05”) and chronicled a typical day working at a day camp.  I believe this aged better than it would have if I didn’t spend 2003-2011 working with youth in some capacity.

3. Freestyle 805

I wrote the lyrics to this track for the FIRST THOUGHTS of my 25th MADDSKILLZ Update. No, Zeke did not have a part in the beat of this track; that came from “Port Town” of F-Zero. This was just a track I wrote while writing that month’s MADDSKILLZ Update, kind of like a day in the life. I was working at FCS Trailblazer camp that summer, so the lyrics reflected that.
